Half a century is what many consider the dawn of old age. A totally different life henceforth ahead, getting our kids married off, looking after grandkids, regular visits to the hospital for routine health check-ups and probably retiring into oblivion is what we all have in mind as we reach the golden age of 50 and look back at the sun setting in the dusk of youth.
When we, the old school friends from the 1986 (Standard XII) batch pass-outs from the quiet township of Bhilai and now settled all across the globe in our pursuit of livelihood, decided to re-live our lives once again, exactly the way we did when we were in school, Attra's Holiday Farm at Karjat as the suggested venue was a total consensus.
Special thanks to Attra Farms and Miten Saraiya for providing us the venue and allowing us to relive our childhood without any inhibitions.
We have no words to express our feelings, being with every one of my friends there made us forget our age completely for these three days and two nights, where we were transported back to our school days.
It was hard to believe that we could stay cut-off from television, phones, work, and every single distraction to live our life to the fullest at this age.
All of us are either touching fifty or just crossed it for our family, our kids, and for everyone else but believe us, during these three days, we were absolutely sure that none of us were a day older than 18.
We all left with a solemn oath that we will keep in touch with each till every one of us hits the bucket, and that is surely going to be a very long time.
Thanks once again to Attra farms for being one of the reasons for making this happen for us, a dream come true which we all will certainly cherish for the rest of our lives.
